i just tested Catastrophe > bahamut zagnal on dyna qufim boss , i was under impression it was stronger than with KC , it wasnt really optimized ,( coeurl sub , atk/haste gear, brutal ear , no AF helm etc.. my usual tp build ) so my hit were doing 140-150 but i did  7500 dmg below 30sec. 




Test on Kirin with SV double march/minuet/madrigal  ( Hasso > LR > Catastrophe(25% haste) > switch baha scythe  > 2h + souleater)

Ok lets compare damage output of the 2 :P

57 ( 15+30+12 from stuff  : speed belt dusk homam feet) haste + Kraken Club , delay 264 attack 2-8 times

VS

95 haste + bahamut Zagnal , delay 480 attack 2-3 times ( hypothesis : haste from cata remain after the Apo > BZ switch)

Lets assume KC gonna hit 5 times average and Baha Zag 2 hits

delay of KC with 57 haste => 114

delay of baha zagnal with 95 haste => 24

lets make the calcul for 30 sec , KC BW/SE last 15 sec more though

so  30 sec is a total of 1800 delay

how many hits for both ?

KC : 1800/114 x 5 = 80 hits~

BZ :  1800/24 x 2 =  150 hits~

something s strange ~~...... in 30 sec i dont think im hitting that much with KC , there must be a limitation somewhere

I let this calcul here for now :x until i get a BZ lol

I did it , i moved my lazy ass and found a mob with enough HP ( not enough  to full LR duration though but still ok ) , got 1 brd with 2h up and 1 whm for haste

I still need to determine the haste on this video , lets start counting at 17 sec until the end 27 sec , so in 10 sec how many hits ? :P

I count 19 hits (we cant say if there is a doubel attack or a Zanshin hit) which makes a delay of  31~ and a haste of  94%~

i had 17 haste from stuff ( kept ace helm over turban this time ) + spell + SV march + cata = 72~ the cap should be reached here

it was meant to go really faster than this but i guess something got screwed

I had haste spell , soul voice 2 march from a brd 74 ( dunno if it weaker ) hasso 18 haste from stuff et desesperate blows 3/3

All my Cata has been done without soil gorget
with 146 STR 54 AGI 66 INT
on ronfaur mob , tunnel worm rabbit bat and pugil

Average Ws without sata = 827

Lets assume the PDif is 3 with sata and 2.4 without

WD = 122+ 0.4 x 83 x 56AGI+66INT = 162


lets deduce our new fTP

162 x fTP x 3 = 1282 => fTP = 2.63

162 x fTP x 2.4 = 827 => fTP = 2.12

fTPs should be the same , so maybe PDif wasnt 2.4 but on lv1 mob.... its strange

For those who don't know , fTP is the power of the WS , like spiral at 300Tp is 3.625 , slugshot 5 and catastrophe was 2.75 before they started acted like moron



I just gonna do a test at 300TP , we never know ~~

Conclusion


now we have a 0- 8% drain ( like 40 HP )

and the power of the ws is 2.1~2.6 instead of 2.75

so /clap SE to have ninja edited cata first, then we started complaining , they recognized it was a mistake , and after fixing it , they clearly they us face to face " go fuck yourself"

average non crit hit dmg =  105  , 105 / 49 ( Maneater ) = 2.14 => Def = 650 ( my atk ) / 2.14

Now its gonna be a bit fuzzy since too many parameters get in , like double attack rate , hits missed

my average rampage dmg is 812 , I cant prove this is the exact average rampage with 5 hit

but im gonna estimate the VIT from this dmg

812 = 2.14 x ( 0.6 + 4 X 0.5 ) * ( 0.83*0.3*155[STR] + fSTR + 49 )

=> fSTR = 2 = My STR - Greater Colibri's VIT

this test isnt very accurate because Berserk is on 3min  / 4 , i will do better test when i will get Apocalypse back , it should be tomorrow !

Full 2°) atk 485 STR 156 AGI+INT 118 => fSTR  11    Pdif 1.38 => ws dmg = ( 103 +11 + 0.83*.4* 118) * 2.85 * 1.38 = 601



Conclusion :

Stacking STR is the best in every situation,
Secondary modifier has too less impact and Gear dont offer enough atk to boost PDIf significantly

Maat Cap would be the best head for cata but only for 4 dmg~...
I thought the AGI-6 would really sux for Catastrophe but its only worth it if you trade more than 3 secondary modifier for 1 STR

1 STR > 3 2°Mod

Lets assume we re always hasted, double march, a 1.9 PDif, a -3 fSTR, 19 haste from equipment , DB 3/3 and LR recast 5/5

total Haste : 54 , w/ Desesparate blows 69

average hit dmg : 213(non crit hit ) x.9 + 333( crit hit) x.1 = 225
average ws dmg : 1056




Catastrophe/HAsso :

weapon delay : 133.4( 2.22sec) , DB 56.4 ( 0.94)
average hit dmg : lets say 230  due to STR+5 and acc+10 make dot higher
average ws dmg : 758




Lets make calculs for 1 h = 3600 sec ( 3150sec w/o DB , 450sec w/ DB )


Guillotine/Seigan :

Number of hits : 3150/3.93 + 450/2.65 = 971
Number of Ws ( 6 hit build ): 161
TOtal dmg : 971x213 + 161x1056 = 376839

Catastrophe/HAsso :

Number of hits : 3150/2.22 + 450/0.94 = 1898
Number of Ws ( 6 hit build ): 316
Total dmg : 1898x213 + 315x758 = 643044


Catastrophe hasso is 1.7 more dmg
